In Europe, the United Kingdom with 3,446 new cases & 428 new deaths is the most affected country by COVID-19. The deaths reported in the last 24 hours is the highest tally reported in the world today. The total active cases & deaths reported in the country is also the highest among the European nations. The number of deaths are on a rise in Italy, Spain & Russia as well.

However, Italy has seen a decline in its active cases. With 992 new cases & 262 deaths on Thursday, the active cases in the country remain lower than the 80,000 mark.

In Asia, Turkey has reported the maximum confirmed cases till now. However, the number of active cases in the country has reduced in the last few days. At present, India seems to be the worst hit nation in Asia with maximum active cases. The confirmed cases in the country seem to surpass the tally of China’s COVID-19 cases soon.

Other countries like Iran, Qatar, Bangladesh & Saudi Arabia have reported a huge surge in cases.

Meanwhile, Africa reported 30 new deaths & 1,276 new cases on Thursday, lower than the numbers recorded by the other continents but the active number of cases remain huge with comparatively lower recovery rate.

The only positive result can be seen in Oceania where the fight against the COVID-19 seems to have half won. Just 9 new cases were reported from Australia in the last 24 hours with not a single new death. The recovery rate has been the best with just 661 active cases left.
