Corona Crisis: FM Nirmala Sitharaman meets All India Poultry breeders Association; soon to constitute Covid-19 task force team
Delhi : On Friday, FM Nirmala Sitharaman reviewed the economic fallout due to corona virus outbreak with ministers of Animal husbandry, tourism, MSME, civil aviation to announce a package for the distressed sectors
While addressing the media about the meeting she said “I had a meeting with tourism, MSME, civil aviation, animal husbandry sectors. These ministers presented assessment of their sector after consultation with their stakeholder.”
“Officially the task force has not yet been constituted. We are holding the meetings because of the urgency of the situation. We have started work, and the work that we are doing right now will go into the task force as well”. She further added
Later that day she had also met with Poultry Industry Delegation lead by All India Poultry Breeders Association(AIPBA) where Bahadur Ali, chairman & MD, IB group (Chhattisgarh), B. Soundarajan, Chairman, Suguna foods, Suresh Chitturi, Chairman, IEC had a discussion over the declining of poultry demand in the market due to Corona virus pandemic. Also present in the meeting was Rajya Sabha Member Chattisgarh State and BJP National General Secretary Saroj Pandey
“Nirmala Ji showed her sympathy and concern towards the farmers and the Industry as she was updated on the ongoing crisis and financial sufferings of Poultry Industry. She has assured that the delegation timely support to the Industry will be extended as Modi Ji has given her responsibility to lead the COVID19 Task Force team.” said the AIPBA spokesperson
He further added ” Poultry Industry is very grateful to our Animal Husbandary Minister Sri Giriraj Singh Ji for his full support to send positives messages to the Nation on all Media platforms refuting the False and baseless Social Media news against poultry and his message to the Nation stating “There is No connection of COVID19 with the Poultry birds and Not eating Chiken and eggs protein can cause protein deficiency”
