During a Wednesday address, Rahul Gandhi expressed his complete backing for India’s military forces following their successful Operation Sindoor missions targeting terror bases throughout Pakistan, including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Congress member Gandhi delivered a message on behalf of Congress during the afternoon party meeting to extend “complete support, best wishes, and good luck” to military personnel participating in Operation Sindoor. This operation commenced following the Pakistan-based terror strike at Pahalgam on April 22 that took multiple lives.
Party president Mallikarjun Kharge shared identical opinions when he declared Congress’s steadfast support for both the country and its defense forces. “Our security forces who conducted Operation Sindoor deserve our great pride because they gave the appropriate response to attackers,” according to Kharge. Indian military personnel received praise from the minister because their brave soldiers executed a clear and courageous high-risk operation.
“Our armed forces have demonstrated outstanding courage by conducting attacks against terrorist bases located across the border. Our party deeply honors their bravery together with their unwavering patriotism,” Kharge stated, emphasizing the party’s dedicated defense of national security.
Through a major political announcement, Rahul Gandhi declared that the Congress party had received a formal invitation to join an all-party meeting scheduled for Thursday. Congress leaders will participate in the Thursday meeting, which seeks both political briefings on the operation and national unification.
“This is about the nation. Throughout history, we have maintained a consistent position that political parties should protect national interests together. The representatives of our party will join the meeting while delivering their opinions,” according to Kharge.
The recent wave of nationalistic feelings after the operation prompts Congress to press for bipartisan national solidarity during emergencies and conflicts.
