NEW DELHI: Senior Congress leader and party spokesperson Pawan Khera and his associates were reportedly deplaned at Delhi Airport from a flight to Raipur. In response, to the disrespect, the party leaders at the airport protested on the tarmac.
The detention came on demands by the saffron party on detention of Pawan Khera for issuing derogatory remarks about PM Modi. Delhi BJP on Tuesday staged a protest near Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s residence here, demanding an apology over her party spokesperson Pawan Khera’s “disgraceful” remark against the late father of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Khera at a recent press conference had flubbed Modi’a name- if Narasimha Rao could be a JPC, if Atal Bihari Vajpayee could be a JPC, then what problem does Narendra Gautam Das sorry, Damodardas Modi have, he had said.
Khera has been booked for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to reports, an FIR against Khera has been filed by a BJP MLC Mukesh Sharma in the Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. Sharing more details, Sharma said, “Pawan Khera (Congress leader) mocked PM’s father by linking his name with Adani’s father and insulted him. People are very upset. It’s also a punishable offence.
