Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday held a review meeting of Covid-19 and vaccination program and has said that COVID vaccination work in the state should be speeded up, as there was disruption due to rain. About 70 thousand Corona tests are being conducted daily in the state. Chief Minister instructed that testing should not be reduced in any district. 100 per cent of the eligible population of the state has been given the first dose of the Corona vaccine and 53 per cent of the population has been given the second dose. Meanwhile, the state-reported 8 new cases. The number of active cases is 94 while the weekly positivity rate is 0.02 per cent.
State Health Minister, Director Health, Secretary Chief Minister and other officials were also present at the meeting. Madhya Pradesh has administered over 5 crore COVID-19 doses by November 16. Out of the total number of doses administered, the state has administered 4 crores 10 lakh with the first dose of the anti-COVID shot while over 95.4 lakh received the second dose, as per the CMO. The state has achieved 100 per cent first dose vaccination on September 30.
