Bhopal: Addressing the mass gathered for the Anti-Dengue Campaign organized by the State Health Ministry today at Bhopal, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted prevention is better than treatment. He appealed to the residents of the state to take necessary precautions against the novel virus and corporate in the campaign being held by the state.
He stated,” Dengue cases have been reported in some districts of the State. We can control it by taking precautionary measures. We need to collectively participate in this campaign. I also appeal to people to get both doses of COVID-19 vaccines.” Highlighting the achievement of the state in immunizing a maximum number of residents, CM Chouhan reiterated the COVID-tally of the state.
So far 139 dengue cases have been reported from the Indore district. Jabalpur district also reported 150 in the recent days that raised alarm across the state health department. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra directed concerned officials to carry out an anti-mosquito fogging drive in the state to contain the spread. Several states have reported a striking surge in vector-borne disease. As a recent update, ICMR Director-General Dr Balram Bhargava informed the arrival of D2 strain of dengue in Agra and Firozabad.
