The Indian government has called an all-party meeting at 10am to discuss the Bangladesh crisis. The foreign minister S Iaishankar will brief the meeting. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and defense minister Rajnath Singh to be present.

Sheikh Hasina resigned as Bangladesh’s prime minister and arrived in India on Monday evening following mounting protests. She held discussions with India’s national security advisor Ajit Doval at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad about the current situation in Bangladesh and her future plans.
Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), urged the people of Bangladesh to remain calm and restrained during this transitional period. He emphasised the importance of protecting all citizens, regardless of religion or politics, from discriminatory violence. Rahman stated that no community—Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, believers, or atheists—should be harassed or left behind. “Together, we are all proudly Bangladeshis,” he said.
