On March 9th and 10th, the Commission will review election preparations, voter list discrepancies, and administrative security in West Bengal. Following meetings with political parties and officials, the election schedules for the five states will be officially announced soon, based on the review of the Bengal and Kerala visits. During this visit, the delegation will meet with political parties, administrative, and police officials to review election preparations, security arrangements, and ensure fair voting.

According to officials, senior Election Commission officials will arrive in Kolkata on Sunday night. The primary purpose of this visit is to assess preparations for the upcoming state assembly elections. The Election Commission team will participate in various meetings on Monday and Tuesday to review election arrangements.
During the visit, Election Commission officials will hold meetings with representatives of political parties, administrative officials, and police officers. These meetings will discuss in detail election-related security arrangements, the status of polling stations, voter facilities, and other administrative preparations. The Election Commission wants to ensure that the voting process is conducted in a fair, transparent, and peaceful manner.
The Special Intensive Revision of voter lists has already been completed in these four states and union territories, and their final voter lists have been published. The official dates for the assembly elections are expected to be announced soon after the Election Commission completes its review of preparations in all states.
