Samba, Jammu and Kashmir: Two buses collided on Wednesday evening in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district. 3 people died and 17 got injured in this massive accident. A 13-year-old girl was among the 3 killed. The accident took place on the Jammu Pathankot National highway. 

The injured were taken to the Samba district hospital. The medical officer of the hospital said, “17 injured, 3 including a 13-year-old girl killed. At least 7 have been referred to other hospitals as they received multiple injuries.”

Meanwhile, in another case of an accident in J&K’s Doda district, 4 people went missing after their car fell into the Chenab river. While the Indian army and State DRF team have been deployed for the rescue operation, no clue has been found about them yet. 

The lieutenant governor of the state Manoj Sinha has expressed grief on both incidents and said, “Extremely pained by the loss of lives in unfortunate road accidents in Doda and Samba. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. Praying for the early recovery of the injured. Directed the district administrations to provide all possible assistance.” More details of both accidents are still awaited.
