Economic Survey 2025: The wait for Budget 2025 is over. The Budget Session will begin today with the President’s address. President Draupadi Murmu will reach Parliament House on a traditional buggy to address the Parliament. Her address will be at 11 am. After this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey Report-2025. The General Budget (Budget 2025) will be presented on February 1. There will be no Parliament proceedings due to the assembly elections to be held in Delhi on February 5.
inance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will create a record of presenting the most consecutive Union Budgets on February 1. This will be Nirmala Sitharaman’s 8th budget as Finance Minister, which includes 6 annual and two interim budgets.
The government has prepared a list of 16 bills for the budget session, which includes many important bills related to financial matters including the Waqf Amendment Bill, Immigration and Foreigners Bill. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2024-25 on Friday. The review has been prepared by a team led by Chief Economic Advisor V Anant Nageswaran.
What will be special in the economic review?
The Economic Review prepared under the leadership of Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageswaran will analyze the economic condition of the country. It will assess challenges such as slow economic growth, falling exchange rate of rupee and lack of consumer demand. Also, this report will also set the policy direction for the next financial year. The review will discuss challenges related to poverty alleviation, climate change, education, infrastructure development and financial sector. Like every year, this time too it is likely to include some new and far-reaching ideas.
