New Delhi: After commencing at 11 Am today, both the houses went into adjournments in a short span. Meanwhile, MPs from the opposition staged a march from Gandhi Chowk to Vijay Marg in Parliament at 1 pm demanding the removal of MoS Ajay Kumar Mishra in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
Minutes earlier, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm over the ruckus instigated after DMK MPs raised the issue of abolishing the NEET Exam.
The Upper house of the parliament was adjourned after opposition parties objected to the time allocated to the electoral bill without them being part of the Business Advisory Committee. Kharge lashed out at the Centre labelling their move to pass the bill as a’ mockery of democracy’. According to him, the bill was passed without any ‘discussion or debate’.
Earlier, today BJP president Nadda, Amit Shahs and several other chiefs held a meeting with their parliamentary members to chalk out the strategy for the day. Both the houses have witnessed repeated disruptions, adjournments hitting the productivity.
