Several prominent schools in the capital, Delhi, were once again shaken by bomb threats. This morning, various schools received threatening emails, prompting students and school staff to be evacuated as a precautionary measure. Sources say the emails mention Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru’s name and express their intention to attack.

The emails also make inflammatory and objectionable claims about turning Delhi into Khalistan. According to the Delhi Police, nine schools, including three in South Delhi, received bomb threat emails. Upon receiving the information, teams from the Delhi Police, the bomb squad, the dog squad, and the fire brigade rushed to the scene and began a thorough search of the school premises.

Police officials stated that all the threatening emails were received between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Security agencies are thoroughly searching every corner to rule out any potential threats completely. No suspicious items have been recovered from any of the schools, but as a precaution, the school campuses have been kept vacant until the investigation is complete. The police cyber cell is working to identify the sender of the emails and is also investigating whether this is a hoax call.

Security agencies are concerned about the serious and provocative content of a threatening email sent to several schools in Delhi. According to police sources, the email reads, “Delhi will become Khalistan. Punjab is Khalistan. In the memory of Afzal Guru.” The email further threatens to bomb Parliament, mentioning the date and time. The sender states that the blast will take place on February 13th at 1:11 pm. This threat is considered serious because the 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament was also dated December 13th, albeit in a different month. The Delhi Police has taken this matter as a high priority and intensified the investigation. Security has been increased in schools and sensitive areas, while cyber forensics is being conducted on the threatening email to identify the sender.

Security has been tightened at schools in the capital, Delhi, which received bomb threat emails, after students and school staff were safely evacuated. Police have increased vigilance on school premises as well as in surrounding areas. Teams from the Delhi Police, the bomb squad, andthe dog squad are conducting thorough searches in all schools. According to police officials, no suspicious object or explosive material has been recovered from any school premises so far. However, as a precaution, the schools have been kept vacant until the investigation is complete.
