The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gets ready to publicize its Manifesto on elections, which are approaching Lok Sabha on Sunday at the party headquarters in Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Modi himself.
The BJP’s election manifesto is the ‘Sankalp Patra’, which outlined social and development schemes and the blueprint for a developed India (‘Viksit Bharat’). Highlighting the government’s aim to the advancement of the poor, youth, women, and farmers, the BJP can be expected to primarily deal with these problems. The manifesto’s release coincides with the birth anniversary of dalit leader B R Ambedkar, and PM Modi, along with senior leaders, will be present at the event.
Both Modi’s government in central as well as BJP have accomplished some ideological promises via rebuilding the temple of Ram in Ayodhya on one side and on the other sent the people into anticipation to see if this 2019 election there will be some wider cultural and Hindutva program put out by the BJP.
Recently, the BJP unveiled its 27-member committee composed of Rajnath Singh (the current Defence Minister and former Party President) as its head to enact the party’s manifesto. The committee membership consists of Members of Parliament (11) and state chief ministers (4) who are from the BJP’s ruled states. Shri Nirmala Sitharaman chairs the committee as Union Finance Minister, with Shri Piyush Goyal as its Co-convener who holds the portfolio of Union Commerce Minister. Furthermore, the organization involves Sikhs, Muslims, and Christians in governance.
The release of the BJP’s manifesto holds significance as it outlines the party’s vision and promises for governance if elected, providing insights into its agenda for the country’s development and cultural landscape. With PM Modi’s presence and the party’s concerted efforts, the manifesto launch event is poised to garner attention and set the tone for the upcoming elections.
