Delhi: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) released the first list of nominees for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh (UP) Assembly polls today during a press conference headed by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh at Delhi party headquarters. A list of the same has also been released through twitter.
According to the first list of candidates released, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest the next month’s Assembly election from Gorakhpur. Voting for Gorakhpur shall be held on March 3, 2022. A five-term former Lok Sabha member from Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath, is currently a member of UP Legislative Council. Earlier, their were speculations that the CM Yogi who has never stood in any Assembly election before would contest from Ayodhya or Mathura.
