Maharashtra: BJP MLA Jaykumar Gore’s car fell into a 30 feet deep pit near Malthan on the Pune-Pandharpur road in Maharashtra’s Satara district in the wee hours of Saturday. In this accident, the MLA fractured his rib, and the driver and two guards accompanying him have also suffered severe injuries.
The injured MLA is undergoing treatment at Ruby Hospital in Pune. Those seriously injured in the accident have been referred to Baramati. The accident took place at 3.30 am on Saturday when their SUV car fell into a gorge after losing balance.
According to the information received, the accident happened when the driver of the car suddenly dozed off due to which the car became unbalanced and broke the railing of the bridge, and fell into the deep gorge 30 feet below. However, the police are engaged in the investigation of the entire matter to find out any other reason behind the accident.
The horrific accident occurred near the cremation ground at Malthan on the Pune-Pandharpur road. MLA Jaykumar Gore was going from Pune to his village Dahiwadi. Then due to the negligence of the driver, Gore’s Fortuner SUV fell into a ditch 30 feet below the bridge. The condition of the MLA seems to be critical now.
