Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan returns as host of the reality TV show Bigg Boss on October 3. On Thursday, Salman addressed season 14 at a virtual launch event. At the event, the actor said that he never really enjoyed such a long break from work over the most recent 30 years as he was forced to during lockdown.
He also hinted that he wouldn’t fret taking a compensation cut for the current year and presented the primary challenger of the period.
“My biggest frustration is that I did not work for so long. I haven’t taken a holiday for so long in the last 30 years as I did in this period. It was a forceful chutti for me. I didn’t know what would happen. There is nothing better than honest work. Treat it as a hobby and you will enjoy it,” said Salman Khan.
In a virtual press conference, Salman Khan gave a sneak peek into the new Bigg Boss house, which for the first time, has a restaurant, spa, theatre and mall.
This year, Salman Khan will be accepting a decrease in salary for facilitating the show so as to guarantee each team part gets their due payment. The entertainer talked about this while conversing with Abhishek Rege, CEO of Endemol Shine India.
When Salman asked Abhishek Rege, “We are paying full pay to everybody?”, he answered: “We are paying compensation. Clearly you probably won’t see tremendous additions, yet we are paying full compensation to individuals.”
To this, Salman reacted that he is happy to cut down on his fees if others are getting fully paid. Salman adds he is excited and hopeful that Bigg Boss would help people divert their minds and enjoy themselves.
Former Bigg Boss contestants like Sidharth Shukla, Gauhar Khan and Hina Khan were also part of the virtual press conference. It has also been reported that these three will also be a part of the new season as they have special powers in the game this time.
Bigg Boss is all set to roll out its 14h season, and this year, the show is trying to bring back the normalcy that has gone out of our lives due to the coronavirus pandemic. Salman Khan continues to be the host this year as well.
