Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) president Dr Mohan Bhagwat addressed the nation on the occasion of Dussehra today, asserting that efforts are underway to denounce India’s traditions, religion, and current history. The RSS president said at a Vijayadashami event in Nagpur that the country’s partition is a terrible history that needs to be confronted with the truth and that the next generation needs to know about it to restore the country’s lost integrity and togetherness.
“Our journey from ‘Swadheehnta to Swatantrata’ is as yet far from complete. There are some in the world who see India’s progress and elevation to a respectable status as a threat to their own entrenched interests “he stated. “According to the tradition of India, heroes who come from all castes and all regions of the country have raised the Himalayas of penance and sacrifice to get freedom,” the RSS chief remarked.
Condemning OTT platforms, the RSS president stated there is no control over what is broadcasted on these digital platforms. “There is no control over what is shown on OTT platforms, and even youngsters now have phones thanks to Corona. Narcotic abuse is on the rise. What can be done to put a stop to it? Anti-national acts are funded with money from such enterprises. Everything should be under control “Bhagwat explained.
The event was attended by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, as well as Kobbi Shoshani, the Israeli Consul General in Mumbai.
