Orissa: Burglars in Orissa’s Jajpur district on the intervening nights of Wednesday and Thursday, police officials said.
As per the information given by police officials involved in the investigation, the miscreants uprooted and decamped an SBI ATM. The incident surfaced on Thursday morning after a local found the ATM missing from the kiosk at Neulpur Chhaka in Dharmasala block, around 50 km north of Cuttack.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the miscreants might have cut the machine with a gas cutter late on Wednesday night and taken it away in a vehicle, Dharmasala Police station Inspector Rakesh Tripathy said.
Bank officials are not able to give an exact amount that the dispensing machine had. It claims that the deposit done by a private agency was not under the surveillance of security officials.
Further details are awaited as the officer conduct the probe.
