Manipur: The violence that occurred in Manipur over the past few days is now being strictly monitored by the army. Due to this reason, the curfew in a total of 11 districts has also been relaxed. Chief Minister N Biren reported that till now, 60 people have been killed, and 231 individuals have been injured.

This happened due to the caste violence that took place in Manipur. And the violent areas are now being monitored by the army through drones and helicopters. It has also helped to calm down the situation, due to which 11 districts have decided to relax the curfew. The officials provided this information on Tuesday, 9 May.

In these regions, no violence has been reported in the last 24 hours, which helped the government put a four-hour delay. This means that the curfew will be relaxed from 5 AM today. But due to the violence, 1700 houses, including religious places, have been gutted down in the northeast area of Manipur.

This happened due to the violence which started during a march being conducted by the All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM). The main motive of this March was against the Meitei community that was about to be given the status of Schedule Tribe.
