Mumbai: Singer-composer Armaan Malik collaborated with Korean-American artist Eric Nam and Indian-American producer DJ KSHMR in his latest song “Echo”.
Armaan shared the news on his social media handles on Monday. He had also shared the launch date of the song. “Massive group hug to all #Armaanians, #NamNation & KSHMR fans! This is a big moment for all of us & I’m so glad we could bring a collaboration of this nature to life. And the best part is that we’ve only just begun”, the singer had tweeted.
The track highlights the feeling of love and longing and indecisiveness in a relationship. Speaking of how ‘ECHO’ came into existence, Armaan said,” KSHMR played some unreleased material including ‘Echo’. It just stuck, and I recorded my demo verse at his studio itself. Around mid-2020, Eric and I had this little interaction on Twitter that sparked off an internet friendship, and our teams got connected as well to discuss a potential collaboration. The track we all gravitated most towards was ‘Echo’ and we spent the next few months making it sound like it does right now.”
Armaan is the first Indian singer-songwriter to be featured on the prestigious Spotify Times Square Billboard in New York City for his latest English debut Control. He is counted amongst those Indian music artists who took national music globally.
