Union Home Minister, Amit Shah reached Jammu & Kashmir amid multi-layer security. Shah was received by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. This is Shah’s third visit to Jammu & Kashmir post abrogation of Article 370. Major anticipations about the current VVIP visit, comprising of official engagements and possibly significant announcement with regard to ST status for Paharis, Gujjar, and Bakarwal is much awaited.
“Would it have been possible to get tribal reservation if Articles 370 & 35A were not removed? With their removal now, minorities, Dalits, tribals, & Paharis will get their rights”, said Union Minister Amit Shah at a public rally in Rajouri.
The minister will be holding twin public rallies at Rajouri and Baramulla. Accompanied by the Union Minister of State in PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh and senior officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
