Both the Houses of the Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were adjourned for the day today afternoon. Seeking a discussion regarding the Pegasus issue in the Houses, Opposition parties unite to protest.
The Opposition has been keen on its demand for discussions on the controversy and the highly-contested new farm laws. Opposition Members of the Parliament were seen holding placards and chanting slogans as they gathered in Lok Sabha, leading to a series of adjournments. Sources reveal that the Opposition Floor leaders from Rajya Sabha will meet to chalk out a strategy to address the snooping Pegasus scandal.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Lok Sabha passed the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill 2021, Rajya Sabha passed the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Bill, 2021.
