As announced by Manoj Sinha, Amarnath Yatra 2026 will start on July 3 and will end on August 28, a total of 57 days. This time was decided in a meeting of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board which is the board that controls the yearly pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine in south Kashmir.

The yatra will start registering in advance beginning April 15 and it has become compulsory to all pilgrims. Registration may be done in over 550 specially set up bank branches in India, which include; State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, and Yes Bank. Also, it will be possible to register on the official SASB site online.

The important thing to the pilgrims is that registrations will be conducted on a first-come first-served basis and be limited to a specified number of daily per route. Reservations on a particular date will be closed seven days before the planned यात्रा date. According to the regulations, only those persons who are between 13 and 70 years of age can go to perform the pilgrimage.

The religious journey will start on June 19 during the Jyeshtha Purnima with the initial puja. The government has also developed clear guidelines that will guide the smooth and safe journey of the devotees.

Amarnath Yatra is one of the major religious pilgrimages in India and every year thousands of religious followers are coming to this holy place to pay homage to the sacred shrine in the Himalayas.
