NEW DELHI: With Republic Day nearing, Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), has issued orders restricting airspace use for eight days this month in view of the Republic day preparations and celebrations. Air space curbs will be in place from tom onwards until the 24th and 26 and 29 January.
From January 19 to 24, restrictions will be in place daily from 1000 hours to 1315 hours. During this period, non-scheduled flights of scheduled airlines and chartered flights will not be allowed to take off or land at the Delhi airport, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
On Republic Day, January 26, no flights will be allowed to take off or land from 0830 hours to 1300 hours, and from 1500 hours to 1800 hours.
On January 29th when the Beating the Retreat ceremony is held, no landing or take-off of flights will be permitted at the Delhi airport from 1500 hours to 1900 hours.
The restrictions will not be applicable to IAF, BSF, Army aviation helicopter operations as well as state-owned aircraft/helicopters that are flying with the Governor/Chief Minister of a state.
The newly inducted Light Combat Helicopter, the Apache of Boeing and ALH mark IV will practice the formation along with fighter jets like Rafale, Sukhoi 30MKI, MiG 29, and Jaguar among others that will fly over Kartavya Path
