On Monday, Air India laid down its Vision 2025 with plans to modernize its inventory and increase access points to make it easier for passengers. The airline said in a statement that it will use new generation planes, including the Airbus A350s and Boeing B 777, with enhanced interiors for gateways in Southeast Asia and Europe.

Key improvements of the newly added fleet comprise advanced interior facilitations meant to bring about improved comfort within the different compartments meant for passengers. Further, for international operations, the existing flight connectivity is proposed to be better aligned with improved timings and frequency for customers. This is vented towards ensuring that there is a direct flight connection between North America or Europe and Australia or South East Asia through the two main connecting stations, Delhi and Mumbai.

Retrofitted A320neo aircraft will operate on all flights from New Delhi to Bangkok, effective January 16, 2025. The following aircraft will offer enhanced interiors for Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class travel classes. Moreover, the airline plans to add more flights between Delhi and Bangkok starting from January 1, 2025, to four flights a day from the current three.

“The back-bettered fleet will feature modern cabin interiors with full-flat bedding in business class and the regular provision of Premium Economy on these routes,” said an Air India spokesperson. The changes mirror the current strategy of the airline to work towards modernization of its service delivery in line with the contemporary market demand.

Air India looks forward to becoming competitive in the global market by acquiring new-generation equipment and improving networks. These programmes reflect an airline’s commitment towards offering excellent services and also affirm its loyalty towards the dynamic role that India plays in the international flight business.
