Jaipur: Following an emergency landing at Jaipur airport due to unfavorable weather conditions, pilots of an Air India flight from London to Delhi refused to continue flying. The diversion occurred as a result of the challenging weather in the airspace around Delhi, causing inconvenience to approximately 350 passengers. Despite receiving clearance to resume the journey, the pilots declined, citing the completion of their duty hours.
The passengers, left stranded for nearly three hours, had to make alternate arrangements to reach their final destinations in Delhi. The incident occurred amidst recent news of Tata-owned Air India finalizing an order for the purchase of 250 Airbus aircraft and 220 new Boeing jets, totaling a staggering $70 billion.
Expressing their frustration, one of the passengers named Adit took to Twitter to highlight the lack of assistance provided by the airline and airport authorities, further emphasizing the distress experienced by the affected passengers.
This situation highlights the difficulties caused by weather conditions and the significance of following flight crew rules. Additionally, it raises concerns about the amount of support and communication offered to travelers in these events.
