New Delhi: Agra district administration in Uttar Pradesh, has served a notice to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over her tweet alleging that 28 COVID-19 persons have died in Agra in the past 48 hrs.
The Agra district administration has sought an unconditional apology. The district administration has issued a rejoinder about her wrong statement within 24 hours. Agra District Magistrate Prabhu Narain Singh on Tuesday said that the statement of Congress leader is wrong.
The Agra DM said, added that the Agra district has witnessed 1,139 COVID-19 positive and 79 deaths in the past 109 days.
Slamming Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government over Corona deaths in Agra, Congress leader Priyanka claimed that it was the real picture of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
In her tweet, she had targeted the Uttar Pradesh government for its ‘No Test- No Corona’ policy and she had blamed the state government for hiding “true facts”.
On Tuesday, she tweeted that the death rate due to Corona in Agra is higher than Delhi and Mumbai. The situation in Agra is worse than Delhi and Mumbai, she added.
In Uttar Pradesh, the Corona virus tally has jumped to 18,322 besides the number of recoveries has touched 11,601 mark.
As many 569 persons have been dead due to COVID-19 in the state. Uttar Pradesh is the fifth top Corona virus affected state after the states of Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat in the country.
On the other hand, the COVID-19 tally in India on Tuesday jumped to 4,40,215 while the death toll rose to 14,011 with 312 new fatalities, after 14,933 people tested positive for coronavirus in a single day spike.
