New Delhi: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday. In this meeting which lasted for about an hour, the Chief Minister informed about the works related to the development and public welfare of the state. Along with this, guidance from the PM was received about the preparations for the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan, Global Investors Summit, G-20 Summit, and Khelo India Youth Games to be held in Indore in January 2023, in Madhya Pradesh.
He requested the Prime Minister to virtually inaugurate the Global Investors Summit. He also requested to lay the foundation stone of the floating solar plant project at Omkareshwar. The Chief Minister informed that on January 9, the Prime Minister will participate in the three-day Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan to be held in Indore on January 8, 9, and 10, 2023. President Draupadi Murmu will visit on January 10.
Representatives from more than 80 countries are coming to the conference. They will be welcomed according to the tradition of Madhya Pradesh. Ministers, diplomats, industrialists, and delegations from about 68 countries, including the Presidents of Guyana and Suriname, will participate in the Global Investors Summit to be held on 11th and 12th January 2023.
The Chief Minister also informed Prime Minister Modi about the project to generate solar energy by laying solar panels on top of the dam at Omkareshwar. It will also reduce the evaporation of water. Information was also given regarding various schemes of the state related to development including natural farming being done by 53 thousand farmers of the state. Earlier UP CM Yogi Adityanath also visited PM Modi for a courtesy meeting.
