The Aero India is one of the largest airshows in Asia, and the 15th version of the Aero India air show will be held in Bengaluru from February 10 to February 14, 202,5, at Yelahanka Airbase. Hosted by the Ministry of Defence, this is the flagship annual event that drives the indigenisation of the aerospace sector with the aim of creating strategic cooperation and partnership.
The Aero India 2025 will be based on the theme ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities’ to bring supply-side efficiencies that could turbocharge India’s make-in-India strategy for defence platforms. This will act as common ground for the Indian and the Global Organisations to create synergy, knowledge sharing, and investment in the aerospace sector.
Minister’s dialogue, Defence Ministers’ Conclave, will also be staged at the event under the title “BRIDGE: Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement”. This continues a high-level dialogue between nations for cooperation and shared visions of security to foster development even when facing dynamic realities in their dangerous neighbourhood.
The Aero India 2023 was a grand success with over 700000 visitors, 98 countries’ dignitaries and 809 exhibitors, including start-ups and MSMEs. Thus, the given event helped to establish more than 250 partnerships and technology transfers with a total worth of ₹75,000 crore.
The Aerospace industry and the Defence Ministry of India plan to achieve these targets this year; therefore, Aero India 2025 promises to be broader and more impactful. Visitors’ learning outcomes include observation of the latest advancements in aerospace technology and air flight aerobatics, as well as chances of partnership and investment.
With India now focussed on ‘Make in India’ in the defence sector, Aero India serves as a useful platform to ensure its strategic vision is aligned with international companies. The event strengthens India’s strategic position in the international aerospace industry while encouraging continuity and development for both nations.
