Veteran actor Yusuf Hussain passed away at Lilavati Hospital today due to Covid-19. Hansal Mehta confirmed the news of his demise through a Tweet recalling how Hussain had helped him financially after his feature “Shahid” was stuck after two schedules.
“Not my father-in-law but a father. He was life if life itself had to have a physical form”, wrote Hansal Mehta in an emotional note. He further added that he feels truly orphaned with his demise.
The late actor died at the age of 73. The actor’s credit also includes films like “Dabang 3”, “Oh My God”, “I am Singh” and had also shot for an upcoming thriller “Bob Biswas” with Abhishek Bachchan.
Remembering Hussain, Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter and paid his condolences. “We worked together in several films starting Kuch Na Kaho and lastly Bob Biswas. He was gentle, kind, and full of warmth. Condolences to his family”, tweeted the Sarkar actor.
