New Delhi: India recorded 2,64,202 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 95.20 per cent accounted for 1,09,345 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,48,24,706. The daily positivity rate stood at 14.78 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 12,72,073 accounting for 3.48 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a rise of 1,54,542 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.33 per cent reported a spike in deaths recording 315 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,85,350.
