Uttar Pradesh: Days ahead of Eid ul fitr, the UP govt on Saturday morning informed to have removed as many as 45,773 loudspeakers from various religious structures with today being the last day of the loudspeaker ban campaign.
In a conversation with local press, Additional Director General of Police ( Law and Order) in Uttar Pradesh, Prashant Kumar said, “So far 45,773 loudspeakers have been removed from various religious places across the state while the sound level of 58,861 loudspeakers was reduced and brought down to the level of standard parameters.”
The move came days after the Uttar Pradesh government ordered the removal of illegal loudspeakers from religious places. In a notice earlier the Yogi Govt had instructed all religious outfits to reduce the volume of their loudspeakers.
