Hyderabad: A human trafficking racket got busted by the Hyderabad police when they raided a tour and travel office in Malakpet on Monday.

They arrested four people related to the company- Mohammed Haroon, the office in charge of AL-Hayath Tours and Travel, Shaikh Mohammed Imthiyaz, Gundugala Subba Rayudu, and Nune Subbamma who worked as agents in the travel company.

Shaikh Khadar, the woman who they were about to send to Muscat, smelled something fishy on arriving at the airport and ran away without boarding her flight, only to find out she was being sent there on a visit visa instead of a work visa by these culprits.

The accused have resourceful links to the gulf countries, where some of them even worked for many years. They are involved in sending manpower to these countries, and most women worked as maids to the Arab Sheikhs.

The Hyderabad police are in search of the other 3 accused and have seized almost 40 passports, visa documentation, cash worth Rs 6000, and some mobile phones in connection to the human trafficking case. Hopefully, now they will be able to reach out to the ones who have been trafficked earlier.
