New Delhi: India reported 34,973 fresh infections in the past 24 hours.  The recovery rate at 97.49 per cent accounted for 37,681 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,23,42,299. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.96 per cent, less than 3 per cent for 11 consecutive days.

The number of active cases stood at 3,90,646 accounting for 1.18 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a decline of 2,968 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.33 per cent reported a spike in deaths recording 260 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,42,009.
