New Delhi: India reported 31,382 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 97.78per cent accounted for 32,542 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,28,48,273. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.00 per cent, less than 3 per cent for 24 consecutive days.
The number of active cases stood at 3,00,162 accounting for 0.89 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a decline of 1,478 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.33 per cent reported a spike in deaths recording 318 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,46,368.
