Uttar Pradesh: In Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, a lawyer was shot and killed by an unidentified assailant. The incident occurred on Monday night, and the deceased lawyer has been identified as Nishant, a 30-year-old Ilahabas village resident, according to officials.
Harish Chander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida), said the local Phase 2 police station was notified that the lawyer had been admitted to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Chandler said, “As it emerged during the initial probe, he died of gunshot injuries.” He stated that the police had called the deceased’s family and had gone to the incident site to conduct an investigation.
The DCP said, “It emerged during the initial probe that Nishant had a property-related dispute with some relatives for a long time. His sister also had a dispute with her in-laws. These two angles are being probed in detail.” An FIR has been filed, and four police teams have been created to investigate the situation, he added.
