New Delhi: India reported 27,176 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 97.62 per cent accounted for 38,012 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,25,22,171. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.69 per cent, less than 3 per cent for 16 consecutive days.
The number of active cases stood at 3,51,087 accounting for 1.05 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a decline of 11,120 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.33 per cent reported a spike in deaths recording 284 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,43,497.
India’s cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination reached 75.89 crores reported the Union Health Ministry. Nearly, 61.15 lakh beneficiaries were vaccinated in the last 24 hours. ICMR on Tuesday tested 16,10,829 infected samples. So far 54.60 crore infected samples have been tested across the nation.
