Lalitpur, UP: Absconding SHO is arrested from UPs Pragyaraj sources said on Wednesday. Reportedly, a complaint has been against the officer for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. The absconding SHO was suspended earlier during the day on Wednesday. The minor is reported to have gone to the PS to file a complaint against four men for kidnapping and gangraping her. A case has been registered against the six including the SHO and the aunt.

The child’s aunt is being titled as the main culprit in the case, who traded the girl. The girl was first kidnapped and taken to Bhopal where she was allegedly raped by four men and three days later dumped her home. On learning about the incident, the mother of the rape survivor on April 22 filed a complaint against the four men. Following this, the girl was called on April 26th to record her statement during which filthy officers on duty raped her.

The aunt and two men have been arrested. Raids are on to trace the other accused,” said Lalitpur’s superintendent of police Nikhil Pathak. “It is part of our investigation to find out why the rape case was not filed when the victim reached the police station for the first time (April 26),” said Lalitput’s Superintendent of Police Nikhil Pathak.

The incident came to light when the girl was handed over to the Childline team where she narrated her ordeal and the police began the probe.
