New Delhi: India recorded 21,411 fresh infections in the past 24 hours taking the cumulative tally to 4,38,68,476. The recovery rate at 98.46 per cent accounted for 20,726 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,31,92,379. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.46 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 1,50,100 accounting for 0.34per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported an increase of 618 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.20 per cent recorded 67 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,25,997.
With the administration of 34,93,209 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 201.68 crores according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
According to the health ministry, more than 193.90 crores (1,93,90,17,325) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 8.01 Cr (8,01,87,710) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
