Mathura: On Thursday, police claimed a 21-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in a moving vehicle while returning from Agra. On Tuesday, the accused accompanied the girl to Agra for a sub-Inspector examination. According to a senior police officer, he allegedly raped her inside the car on the way back. After the act, he dumped the girl off on the outskirts of Mathura’s Kosi Kalan neighbourhood.

According to Superintendent of Police Shrish Chandra, the main accused, Tejveer, was detained on Thursday, but his accomplice in the crime, Digambar, is still on the run. Both of the suspects are from Manpur Village in Palwal, Haryana, and two teams have been created to apprehend the second.

According to the authorities, Tejveer met the victim on social media and gained her trust. According to police, a medical test was conducted on the girl based on a FIR lodged by her brother, and her statement was recorded under section 161 of the Indian Penal Code. The car that was involved in the incident has also been found. According to authorities, both of the suspects are between the ages of 22 and 25.
