Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have questioned 20 people so far in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old woman in the city that sensationalized the country with its discovery of chopped, pressure-cooked and roasted body parts from a flat.

The police have not yet identified the accused in the case. However, they have said that they are looking into all angles and that the motive for the murder is still unclear.

Victim Saraswati Vaidya was in a live-in relationship with Manoj Sane (56). The police have also said that they are not ruling out the possibility of a love triangle or a case of domestic violence. The woman’s family has said that she was in a relationship with a man who had been harassing her for some time.

Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Jayant Bajbale said, “We believe Sahani cut the woman’s body into pieces so as to make it easy for him to dispose of them”. Police claim that he had bought a tree-cutter and chopped her into more than 20 pieces while some of her body parts are still missing.

The police have also said that they are looking for CCTV footage from the area where the woman lived. They are also trying to trace the woman’s mobile phone records.

The police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that could help them in the case. They have also said that they will offer a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information that leads to the arrest of the accused.

The murder of the woman has shocked the city of Mumbai. The police have assured the public that they will do everything they can to bring the accused to justice.
