New Delhi: India recorded 19,673 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.48 per cent accounted for 19,336 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,33,49,778. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.96 per cent. The number of active cases stood at 1,43,676 accounting for 0.33 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a rise by 292 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.20 per cent recorded 39 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,26,357.
With the administration of 31,36,029 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 204.25 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per data updated on Sunday, more than 195.28 crore (1,95,28,82,825) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 7.03 Cr (7,03,33,840) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
