New Delhi: In the latest development of the monsoon session of the Parliament, 19 MPs are suspended for a record of unruly behaviour for a period of one week. The suspension came as the opposition protested over inflation. Amongst those suspended include Muraleedharan, Haque, Sen, Abir Biswas, Mausam Noor, Sushmita Dev, Shanta Chhetri, Mohammad Abdullah, AA Rahim, L Yadav and V Sivadasan.
Meanwhile, in Rajya Sabha, Congress partys’ Deepender Singh Hooda stated that the govt rejected their demand for a discussion on inflation, employment, Agnipath and misuse of agencies. A ruckus was witnessed in the upper house as the opposition raised roll-back GST slogans.
The Lok Sabah recorded discussions on Left Wing Extremism (LWE) violence. According to the statistics presented by Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai a plunge in violence by 50 per cent was observed since 2014 in districts under Left Wing Extremism.
“At present CISF providing training to security personnel of State security agencies as well as Public Sector Undertakings. CISF has held consultation with Central Assn of Pvt Security Industry to take forward issue of training to private security agencies. Incidents of LWE violence have also significantly reduced from 1091 in 2014 to 509,” he added.
