New Delhi: India recorded 16,935 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.47 per cent accounted for 16,069 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total to 4,30,97,510. The daily positivity rate stood at 6.48 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 1,44,264 accounting for 0.33 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported an increase by 815 cases in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.20 per cent recorded 51 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,25,760.
With the administration of 4,46,671 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 200 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Out of these, 92.61 cr Second Dose and 5.67 cr Precaution Dose have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
