New Delhi: India recorded 13,091 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.25 per cent accounted for 13,878 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,38,00,925. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.10 per cent, less than 2 per cent for 38 consecutive days.

The number of active cases stood at 1,38,556 accounting for 0.40 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a decline of 1127 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.34 per cent reported a spike in deaths recording 340 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,62,189.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is scheduled to hold a meeting with health ministers from all states and union territories on Thursday to lay the planogram for ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign, which aims to ensure that all adults who have not received their first dose of Covid vaccine or are overdue for their second dose are vaccinated.

Over 110.23 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, including 57.54 lakh doses administered in the last 24 hours. As per ICMR, 11.89 lakh infected samples were tested in the last 24 hours. So far 61,99,02,064 samples have been tested.
