Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a virtual summit with the 40 district magistrates of the nation to discuss the reasons for sluggish COVID-19 vaccination coverage.

An official statement issued by the PM office read, “immediately upon returning to the country after attending the COP 26 (in Glasgow, Scotland), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a review meeting with districts having low vaccination coverage, on November 3 at noon via video conferencing”.

The meeting shall focus on districts where less than 50 per cent of the population has taken first shot of COVID-19 vaccine. Earlier, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a meeting with state health ministers to announce ‘Har Ghar Dastak’, a door-to-door campaign to boost vaccination numbers.
