Ranchi: In Kolhan and Saranda of West Singhbhum district, the security forces have taken a big action and demolished 11 bunkers of Naxalites. Also, 5 IED bombs have been recovered. Apart from this, the security forces have also recovered two IED bombs from Kharabera. District SP Ashutosh Shekhar has said that this anti-Naxal operation of the security forces is still going on.
The central government is now in no mood to spare the Naxalites. Home Minister Amit Shah himself has given a final warning to the Naxalites. The central and state governments together are surrounding the Naxalites from all sides and are continuously taking action. In Chhattisgarh alone, more than 150 Naxalites have been encountered in the last 6 months. Now on the lines of Chhattisgarh, action against Naxalites has started in Jharkhand as well.
Security force officials said that on 13 and 14 April, a search operation was conducted around Babudera forest village in Jhariakela police station area, in which security forces recovered 5 IED bombs planted by Naxalites. These IEDs have been destroyed with the help of the bomb disposal squad. These bombs were planted underground by Naxalites to harm the security forces.
The officer said that the security forces also demolished 11 Naxalite bunkers and 6 fronts from the area. The size of the recovered bunkers was 25 x 35 feet, 20 x 25 feet and 15 x 20 feet, which had arrangements for the stay of Naxalite leaders. A huge amount of explosives and other material has been recovered from the bunkers.
After this, on April 15, an intensive search operation was also conducted in the forests of Luiya and Bakrabera of the Tonto police station area. During this, two more IED bombs were recovered in the hilly area near Bakrabera. Chaibasa Police, Jharkhand Jaguar, 203 and 209 battalions of Cobra Battalion along with 28, 60, 134, 174, 193 and 197 battalions of CRPF were involved in this operation.
District SP Ashutosh Shekhar has said that this anti-Naxal operation of the security forces is still going on. Officials say that this ongoing operation may lead to more important revelations and recoveries. The security forces are fully prepared to restore peace in the area and any Naxal activity will not be tolerated.
