New Delhi: India recorded 10,725 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.60 per cent accounted for 13,084 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,37,57,385. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.73 per cent.

The number of active cases stood at 94,047 accounting for 0.21 per cent of the total number of cases. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.19 per cent taking the cumulative death toll to 5,27,488.

With the administration of 23,50,665 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 210.79 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the health ministry, more than 200.32 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category.

More than 6.06 Cr balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs, it added.

In the last 24 hours, ICMR tested 3,92,837 infected samples. So far, 88.39 crore tests have been conducted.
