New Delhi: India recorded 10,126 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. As per the statistics observed by the Union Ministry, this is the lowest count in 266 days. The recovery rate at 98.25 per cent accounted for 11,982 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 3,37,75,086. The daily positivity rate stood at 0.93 per cent, less than 2 per cent for 36 consecutive days.
The number of active cases stood at 1,40,638 accounting for 0.41 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a decline of 2188 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate recorded at 1.34 per cent reported a spike in deaths recording 332 fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll to 4,61,389.
