Patna: Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year and the Election Commission of India is continuously preparing for it. This time, the Election Commission of India has also approved increasing the number of polling stations in the assembly elections. 20603 new polling stations will be set up in Bihar. Now, voting will take place at 98498 polling stations in the assembly elections.
According to officials from the Election Department, there were booth-level officers at 7,7895 polling stations in the state during the last Lok Sabha elections. 20603 new booth-level officers are being appointed for the new polling stations. Along with this, the work of printing and door-to-door distribution of counting papers for voters has started in all 243 assembly constituencies.
To make the voters of the state aware, the Election Commission is also continuously giving information through SMS and appealing to the people to fill the counting form and submit it to the BLO as soon as possible, so that there is no problem in the special intensive revision work.
Election Commission is busy in preparations
It is worth noting that on one hand the Election Commission is busy in preparations for the assembly elections. During this time, voter revision work is also being conducted at a rapid pace. Recently, a 9-member team of the Commission also reached Patna, which held a meeting with all the district officials and took stock of the work related to the preparations for the elections and also gave necessary guidelines.
Tejashwi had made a serious allegation
On the other hand, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav had made a big allegation on the Election Commission. He had said that the Election Commission is trying to remove the names of 8 crore poor beneficiaries of Bihar from the list. NDA leaders retaliated to these allegations of Tejashwi, but the Commission has not yet given any statement or answer in this regard.
